Our dojo hosts a variety of special seminars in the course of a typical year. Some seminars are limited to members of the dojo, while others are open to the general public. Depending on circumstances, there may or may not be registration fees, but spectators are usually welcome at no charge. For more information on scheduled events, please contact the dojo at ittendojocho@cs.com.
November 7, 8 and 9, 2008: Itten Dojo technical advisor Ellis Amdur visits for an in-house seminar focusing on final touches to the curriculum. Training will be open only to dojo members and invited guests.
March 21 and 22, 2009: Mike Sigman returns to Itten Dojo for another informal workshop devoted to an examination of the theory and practice of training internal skills, specifically in the context of Aikido. This workshop is open only to those who have trained with Mr. Sigman at least once previously, or who are personally approved by Mr. Sigman to attend. The registration fee for this workshop is $125.00. Martial arts uniforms are not required — recommended training attire is gi pants, sweat pants, or gym shorts, and a t-shirt or sweat shirt. Prepared notes may be provided and individual note-taking is encouraged. There is a possibility that some portions of the workshop will be videotaped for later distribution; no other videotaping will be permitted, and video notes are available only to participants.
